The Chanel Supermodel Tote remains one of the most iconic vintage Chanel bags ever created. Originally made famous by the supermodels of the 1990s, the oversized softly structured silhouette has become one of the most sought after vintage Chanel styles in recent years.

Interest in the style surged again after Matthieu Blazy reintroduced a similar oversized tote silhouette on a recent Chanel runway, instantly making the original vintage versions even more desirable amongst collectors and fashion insiders. Whilst the new runway styles retail close to £9,000, many collectors continue to seek out the original vintage pieces for their superior craftsmanship, beautiful caviar leather and Chanel’s coveted 24k gold plated hardware, details no longer found on modern Chanel bags.

Crafted from black caviar leather with classic CC turn lock detailing and leather threaded chain straps, this bag perfectly captures that effortless late 90s Chanel aesthetic that still feels incredibly modern today. The relaxed oversized shape makes it ideal as an everyday bag whilst remaining a true collector’s piece.

This example comes complete with both the original authenticity card and serial sticker intact inside. The serial number dates the bag to approximately 1996–1997.

Good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. There are areas of wear, creasing and rubbing visible throughout, alongside general wear to the hardware as shown in the images. The caviar leather has softened beautifully over time and the bag retains its lovely relaxed structure.
