The Hosta offers secure delivery by courier worldwide. We insure every package for extra peace of mind.
Everything is dispatched in plastic free, recycled and recyclable packaging, and sent via recorded courier via our partners UPS, DHL and Hermes.
As soon as your order is dispatched, you will receive email notifications regarding the estimated delivery date.
Please note delivery times are provided as guidelines only and kindly note that delivery to rural addresses can result in longer delivery times. We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours.
Orders placed will be shipped the next day. Our couriers usually operate between 9am—6pm on business days.
Delivery times appearing on the Site are estimates and are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. The-Hosta.com is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.
If delivery is delayed by any event outside of our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.
Taxes and duties
The prices of products are expressed in GBP (Sterling) inclusive of taxes but excluding customs duties.
For orders outside of the EU such custom duties shall be borne by the Customer. Unfortunately we cannot estimate how much duties you will pay but your local customs should be able to estimate the price. The Hosta cannot be held responsible for any action and/or costs and/or taxes and/or delays due to customs over which it has no control.
U.S. Sales Tax:
The Hosta has not established nexus in any U.S state and therefore we are not required to collect and remit sales tax on sales in that state. Sales tax is a tax on retail purchases and it is used to pay for state and local budget items like schools roads and fire departments. The Hosta currently has no sales tax obligation in the USA. If applicable US customers have the obligation to pay use tax directly to the state where they reside. It is the customer’s (purchaser’s) responsibility to self-accrue and remit the use tax due on the purchase where appropriate. The Hosta, while a registered company in the United Kingdom, is not obligated to collect VAT on sales as we do not meet the annual thresholds for resident companies (in the 27 EU member states plus Norway Switzerland and United Kingdom).
Delivery times are provided as guidelines only and do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorization and/or stock availability and/or customs delays. We are unable to deliver to post office boxes. All orders are fully traceable through UPS.com, DHL or Hermes. You will be notified how your order has been dispatched once your order has been processed.
First-Time Order Policy
For security purposes, The Hosta reserves the right to ship first-time orders to the cardholder’s verified billing address or work address. To avoid delays in receiving your order, please make sure to provide the correct billing and shipping information associated with your credit/debit card when placing an order.
The Hosta insures each purchase during time in transit until it is delivered to you. All orders require signature upon delivery, at which point responsibility for the shipment passes to you. If you have specified a recipient other than yourself for delivery purposes (i.e. for a gift), you also accept that signature by the third party is sufficient proof of delivery and fulfilment by The Hosta.
The goods are your responsibility from the time we deliver them to the address you gave us.
Please note, that if no signature is collected, you agree to our terms and conditions and, confirm that The-Hosta.com can leave your package(s) outside the premises at the shipping address provided by you without obtaining a signature for proof of delivery. You authorise The-Hosta.com to leave the package(s) at the shipping address without obtaining a signature and release and indemnify The-Hosta.com from liability for any loss or damage that may result from leaving the package(s) at your shipping address without obtaining a signature.
All orders are shipped with our trust courier partners UPS, DHL and Hermes, and are fully traceable on their websites. You can always contact them if you have questions regarding your shipment.
