Vintage Celine Sulky Canvas Shoulder Bag

This vintage Celine Sulky shoulder bag is a brilliant example of the house's equestrian heritage, featuring the iconic Sulky motif across the front. Crafted in brown canvas with warm mustard leather trim, it has a relaxed, sporty silhouette and a distinctly vintage Celine feel.

The Sulky motif, depicting a horse pulling a lightweight two wheeled carriage, is one of Celine's most recognisable archival emblems and reflects the equestrian influences that ran throughout the house's early designs. Here the motif is woven prominently into the front of the canvas with CELINE lettering beneath, framed by contrasting mustard leather.

The bag has a practical zipped top opening and an adjustable shoulder strap with a generous 43–53cm drop, allowing it to sit comfortably over the shoulder or be worn longer across the body. Inside, the bag is lined in dark brown fabric with internal pockets for smaller essentials. Gold tone hardware completes the design.

A great everyday vintage Celine and a particularly lovely example for collectors of the house's earlier equestrian designs. This bag comes with its original Celine dust bag.

Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. There is some general wear and patina to the tan leather trim and shoulder strap, including light surface marking and darkening in places. The canvas remains in good condition with the Sulky motif clearly defined. There are some signs of use to the interior and light age related wear to the hardware. Overall, the bag presents beautifully. Please refer closely to the photographs for the condition.
