An iconic vintage Chanel Small Classic Double Flap in black quilted lambskin, finished with 24k gold plated hardware and the signature interlocking CC turn lock.

One of Chanel’s most recognisable and collectible silhouettes, this smaller size has beautiful proportions while retaining all of the details of the Classic Flap: diamond quilting, leather woven chain straps, double flap construction and the contrasting burgundy leather interior.

The Small Classic Flap now retails at close to £9,000 new, placing earlier vintage examples at an increasingly significant difference to current retail. Chanel’s substantial price increases over recent years have also contributed to the strong resale market for Classic Flaps, particularly timeless black examples with 24k gold plated hardware.

This vintage example features Chanel’s highly sought after 24k gold plated hardware, a detail found on earlier bags and no longer used on contemporary Classic Flaps. The rich gold tone against the black lambskin is particularly beautiful.

The leather woven chain can be worn doubled on the shoulder with a 24cm drop or extended for a crossbody carry.

Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. The lambskin has softened beautifully with some creasing and surface wear visible throughout. There is wear to the interior and beneath the flaps, as photographed. The 24k gold plated hardware remains beautifully bright.

Includes original Chanel box and vintage Chanel dust bag. Comes with an Etrupy online certificate of authentication.
