We’re a small team, passionate about luxury and vintage bags, with extensive personal and professional experience including over 15 years working as bag Product Developers, working with some of the World’s largest luxury brands.
In addition to our considerable experience, unlike other third-party marketplaces, we also physically hold every bag we sell (allowing our customers to be confident in the quality and authenticity of the items we sell). This also allows customers to enjoy fast shipping in our eco-friendly packaging.
Authentication Process:
In addition to many years of experience our team has with buying and wearing luxury and pre-owned bags themselves, we operate a detailed and ongoing authentication audit process to ensure that brand knowledge remains up to date and accurate.
Prior to listing any items for sale on The-Hosta.com, each of our bags undergo a detailed authentication process, by two of our team, independently. This ensures there is no margin for error.
Our detailed authentication process methodically inspects each and every item of the bag including the hardware, stitching, material, symmetry, label, code, stamp and overall craftsmanship. We maintain an extremely high bar to verify each of our pieces as legitimate, comparing what we find with the respective designer’s established standards.
If, throughout this process, we identify that part of one of our bags has been repaired, modified or replaced (and is no longer original), then this will be noted in the product description.
We have zero tolerance for inauthentic items.

We guarantee that every item in our collection is authentic.
Not only do we celebrate the craftsmanship, but trust is also central to what we do. As a result, we guarantee the authenticity of every one of our items. In the highly unlikely event that you’re not completely satisfied, you can return the item to us for a full refund.
If you ever decide to resell your bag (which we hope you’ll do via The-Hosta’s consignment service), we’re also happy to provide written confirmation of your item’s authenticity to any future buyer.
