For those that don’t know you, how would you describe yourself and what you do?
My name is Gab Waller, my global fashion sourcing company specialises in locating high demand or sold out pieces. When our clients are looking for a sold out or impossible to acquire piece, we act as their personal fashion detective to hunt it down.

What was the inspiration behind your business and how did you develop the brand?
My focus in starting my business was to allow everyone access to the luxury items they were seeking, regardless of status or spend. This was especially relevant to our clients in Australia, where Gab Waller was founded, due to the limited availability of certain luxury goods in my region. Over the years, Gab Waller has developed through community, client love, and word of mouth.

Why do you think consumers are gravitating towards pre-owned and vintage?
I believe there are many reasons why consumers gravitate towards pre-owned and vintage, however I think a leading factor is pricing. Vintage pricing is often more favourable than current season offerings by luxury brands.

What is your most in demand vintage item currently?
Vintage Chanel is frequently requested although there has been an influx as of late. Clients are currently seeking accessories primarily including sunglasses and jewellery, like the vintage crystal necklace worn by Margot Robbie in the Barbie movie.

"You can tell which celebrities have a true passion for vintage by the collections they possess."

What has been the trickiest vintage item to source to date?
Most recently, our most difficult vintage find has been a pair of black Gianfranco Ferre sunglasses that were sourced for Khloé Kardashian.

Which stylists/or celebrities do you feel are currently pioneering the reassurance of mixing vintage clothing with new?
I personally love seeing clients styled by Dani Michelle and Andrew Mukamel. They are two in particular that have mastered making vintage look current and fresh. You can tell which celebrities have a true passion for vintage by the collections they possess. The celebrity wardrobes that come to mind are Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Bella Hadid.

You are sourcing for the world's best fashion tastemakers, what trends are you seeing from them and which era in fashion will next make a comeback?
I think we are going to start seeing resurgence of suiting as many runways are playing with menswear inspired details, like power shoulders and neck ties. Red is also fully set to be the colour of the season ahead.
